Getting started

Services

What you offer, how long it takes and what it costs. Your clients' available slots come from here, so this is the screen worth getting right.

A service is each thing someone can book with you. The duration you set is what blocks the slot in your calendar, so set it to what it really takes, not what you wish it took.

The fields that matter

Name, description and price. The discounted price is optional. If you fill it in, your page shows the original price struck through with the new one beside it.

Duration (min). How long the appointment takes.

Buffer (min). Extra time after each appointment that cannot be booked. Use it to clean up, put things away or breathe. A 30-minute service with a 10-minute buffer means the next slot starts 40 minutes later.

Spots (max). How many people fit in the same appointment. Leave it at 1 unless you run group classes or sessions.

Identifying color. Shows on calendars and makes the day readable at a glance.

Assigned staff

This is where you choose who can deliver the service. It matters for one very specific reason.

If a service has nobody assigned, it does not show up as bookable on your page. The screen warns you in red. This is the number one cause of "my clients can't see any slots".

When you create a service without picking anyone, it is assigned to your whole active team automatically. When you add a new person, they are assigned to every service that already exists.

Intake form

These are questions the client answers when booking that specific service. You can ask for short text, a long paragraph, a choice from a list or a yes-or-no checkbox, and mark any question as required.

They let you arrive at the appointment already knowing what you need: allergies, what is wrong, who referred them. The answers appear in the booking detail, under Questionnaire and notes.

Combining services

If you turn on Can be combined with other services, the client can add it to another one in the same booking. Durations and prices add up, and the slot booked is the total.

This works well for short add-ons. Color alongside a cut, a treatment alongside a cleaning.

Enable, archive and delete

Service visible to the public decides whether it shows at all. Turn it off and it stops being bookable without losing anything.

Deleting a service that already has bookings or a waitlist does not delete it: it archives it. It leaves the catalog and keeps its history. Archived ones live in their own tab.

How many you can have

Services are unlimited on every plan, including the free one.
